POLICE have raided two homes at Warrington as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug related crime.
Both houses were in Banks Crescent, Latchford and they were raided on successive days.
At the first house, the early morning raid results in a quantity of Class B drugs being seized and a 19-year-old man being cautioned.
In the second raid, police discovered eight cannabis plants which were seized along with various drugs paraphernalia.
A 22-year-old woman was cautioned for cultivating cannabis.
Sergeant Jacky Gee, of Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “Members of the public are providing us with valuable information in relation to drugs and we would urge anyone with any information to get in touch.
“This type of information is vital and helps us to build up a bigger picture of what is happening in a particular area and to work out the best ways of dealing with any issues.
“We want to get the message across loud and clear that we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour in the Latchford area and that we will not hesitate to take positive action when necessary.”
Anyone with any information about drug related crime is urged to call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.

  1. Valuable Information…How valuable ? a couple of pot plants, and a kid whos not out on the streets, robbing, mugging and causing a nuissance but at home taking in a substance that does less damage than alcohol, causes less violence, and has no victims. I’m sick of seeing yobs, no hopers and agressive teenagers battering the streets of warrington, the people of warrington, vandalism and this is the money wasted which could be resourced cleaning up the streets. SO back to my original question…how much was this “operation” offset against the value of the drugs, or the value of this money being spent policing the violence in town, or old ladies being beaten up in dallam, or fathers being stabbed…how VALUABLE IS THIS !
