A MONTH long series of sports camps will give youngsters in the Penketh and Great Sankey area an opportunity to try out various sports.
Great Sankey Parish Council has secured lottery funding for the events which will be run in conjunction with the Warrington Wolves Foundation.
Everything will be free of charge and the week will include a day at Ski Rossendale trying out skiing and tubing, together with a free meal.
Sports available to try out will include football, hockey, tri golf and rounders, together with an opportunity for some of the participants to achieve a Junior Sports Leader award.
There will also be an opportunity to try out different foods to promote healthy eating.
The sports camps will be held at Penketh High School during the first, third and fourth weeks of August and at St Gregory’s High School in the second week of the month. They will run from 10am to 2pm each day.
All coaching staff are provided by the Warrington Wolves foundation and are CRB checked.
