Hugh celebrates 100 years

MR Hugh Davies, a resident of Keate House residential home in Lymm has celebrated his 100th birthday.
Welsh-born Mr Davies has been a resident at Keate House since November 2006.
He joined the Royal Navy at the age of 14, later working in electronics in submarines.
He then worked as a civil engineer and helped to build Risley Prison before moving to office work prior to retirement.
He has a family consisting of two daughters, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
On his special day he went to his daughter’s house for dinner with the family and then returned to Keate House for a tea party, attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, Coun and Mrs Brian Axcell. There was music and a buffet tea.
