Fire crews turn out to tackle skip blaze

FIRE crews at Warrington turned out after reports of a skip fire last night.
The blaze was in Common Lane, Latchford and had been partially extinguished by the time firefighters reached the scene. But they used a hose reel jet to ensure the fire was fully out.
In another incident, firefighters went to Winwick Park Avenue, Winwick where a fire in woodland was reported.
They dealt with the outbreak in about 20 minutes using water backpacks to extinguish the flames.
