WARRINGTON’S largest play area is now officially open – offering a wide range of activities for children and adults.
The play area in Orford Park was launched with a family fun day, featuring a picnic, face painting, t-shirt making, circus skills workshops, story telling and more.
It boasts a daredevil zip wire, climbing wall and outdoor gym for both young people and adults and a wheelchair friendly roundabout as well.
Mayor and Mayoress Brian and Irina Axcell, council chief executive Diana Terris local councillors Mike and Kate Hannon and hundreds of families were present to officially open the park in a flurry of bubbles provided by local youngsters.
The project was funded by the Big Lottery, the DCSF Play Builder Fund and environmental charity WREN.
