Blaze probe still going on

THE cause of the major fire which wrecked a sports store and textile warehouse at Warrington is still being investigated today.
Fire crews were at the devastated premises of Touchline, in Knutsford Road, Latchford all yesterday following the fire of the night before.
Experts only declared the building safe at around mid-day so fire investigation officers could not start their enquiries until the afternoon.
Two fire engines remained at the scene all day – and Knutsford Road was closed to traffic for much of the day.
The cause is still being investigated..
Touchline only moved into the modern, purpose-built centre about two years ago.
The building also contained the offices of the Latchford Community Forum and it is understood many of their records, a computer and the partly finished next edition of their community magazine were lost in the blaze.
Warrington Town Football Club’s first team strip – which had been left at the premises for laundering – is also believed to have been destroyed.
At the height of the blaze, 60 firefighters using 12 appliances were involved in the operation.
The roof of the building is believed to have collapsed.
