WARRINGTON Wolves’ winger Tom Lineham has successfully won his appeal against a three match ban making him available for the play-off semi-final showdown with St Helens.
An independent tribunal has upheld Lineham’s appeal, downgrading his high tackle on Wigan’s Dom Manfredi from a Grade C to a Grade B, reducing his ban from 3-2.
He served his first ban when the Wolves were beaten by Saints at the weekend and will also miss this weekend’s game at Wakefield.
But he will now be free to play in the semi-final, with the Wolves just 8o minutes away from a return to the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile no further punishments have been handed out by the Rugby League’s match review panel from Warrington’s bad tempered match against St Helens, which involved a mass brawl and three players, including Warrington’s Ryan Atkins, being sent to the sin bin.
