RETAILERS in Warrington’s Golden Square shopping centre are being invited to take part in a Marathon challenge to help a local charity.
The centre is launching a “Retailers Challenge” as part of the first New Balance English Half Marathon taking place in Warrington on October 4.
Ian Cox, centre marketing manager, said there are more than 120 retailers and the challenge will involve teams of two completing the 13.1 miles route as a relay race rather than as an individual.
He said: “This can seem less daunting and more achievable for those wanting to get involved.”
Money raised will go towards the Grassroots community fund administered by Warrington Council for Voluntary Service, which the shopping centre has pledged to support.
