Man attacked in street

POLICE are seeking witnesses of a incident in which a Warrington man was attacked in the street by another man alleged to have been carrying a knife.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, suffered head injuries in the attack in Statham Avenue, Orford.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but later discharged and is now recovering at home.
A 26-year-old man was arrested following the incident and was later charged with assault and possessing an offensive weapon.
But police are still seeking witnesses of the early hours attack. Anyone who can help should call DC Pam Hopkins on 01244 613835.
