Shop girl threatened with hammer

POLICE today released details of a robbery at Warringtin in which a teenage shop assistant was threatened with a claw hammer.
The raid was at a shop in Poplars Avenue, Orford early on Sunday morning.
The hooded offender entered the shop and threated the 17-year-old girl assistant, demanding cash.
She handed over a two figure sum and the offender ran off along Poplars Avenue.
The girl was badly shaken but was unhurt.
Police said the offender was about 6ft tall, tanned with dark eyebrows. He was wearing a hooded top and yellow tracksuit bottoms. He also wore sunglasses.
It is believe he spoke with a Warrington accident.
