Garden centre staff say farewell

GARDEN centre staff are bidding “au revoir” to a French horticultural student who has been on a work placement.
Coralie Le Geoff, 20, from Brittany (pictured), joined the team at Bents Garden and Home, Glazebury, near Warrington, in May for five weeks hands-on work experience and leaves having gained valuable experience and many new friends.
She contacted Bents earlier this year having heard about the centre from a fellow student at her college. During her visit she completed a range of horticultural projects and gained an understanding of the business.
Coralie said: “It has been great to see how customer focussed Bents is, something that is not so usual in French garden centres. It has been a fantastic opportunity and I have really enjoyed my time here.”
She is the third exchange student to work at the centre – previous students have been from France and Holland.
Managing director Matthew Bent said: “We like to strengthen our European connections whenever possible so we are always keen to welcome students on placements such as this.”
