Restaurant sale
THE former Le Frog restaurant, in the Old Post Office building in Springfield Street, Warrington goes under the hammer at an auction at Old Trafford Football Ground tomorrow (Thursday, July 16) with a guide price of £150,000. Auctioneers are Pugh and Company.

Chimney changes
PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for changes to chimneys at Warrington Hospital’s Appleton Wing.
An existing 27.5m high chimney will be removed and three 20m high flues will be constructed. As part of a separate planning approval, a 21m chimney flue will be constructed.

Social club
A PLAN to change the use of industrial premises at Unit 11 on the Bridge Foot Industrial Estate, Old Road, Warrington, into a community centre have been submitted to the borough council.

Science awards
DARESBURY Science and Innovation Campus, near Warrington, has been nominated for the national UK Science Parks Association Awards to be judged at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester in September.

Barbecue bonanza
A BARBECUE at St Paul of the Cross Primary School, Burtonwood, Warrington, raised nearly £750 for school funds.
