VANDALS struck again in Warrington early today, setting fire to two plastic bins in a playground.
The fires at the playground in Insall Road, Padgate were reported in the early hours of the morning.
Fire crews from Birchwood arrived at the scene to find a blue playground bin and a blue recycling bin both alight.
They used an extended hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
A Fire Service spokesperson said it was believed the fires had been started deliberately and appealed to anyone who knew anything about the incident to call police on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
Firefighters also dealt with a bush on fire off Minerva Close, and a wheelie bin ablaze in Clegge Street, Warringon
