Driver ordered to pay £184 for blue badge offence

A 70-year-old Warrington man has been ordered to pay a total of £184 for fraudulently using a blue disabled driver’s badge in the town.
He was the 12th driver to be prosecuting by the borough council since it introduced its zero tolerance approach to blue badge fraud in February last year.
David McMutrie, of Dalewood Close, pleaded guilty by postat Warrington| Magistrates Court to using a blue badge when the holder of the badge was not present.
He had parked on double yellow lines.
Prior to introducing the zero tolerance policy, the council had held a “blue badge amnesty.”
