Hollywood comes to village

HOLLYWOOD came to a Warrington village as the theme for an annual carnival.
Villagers at Croft entered into the spirit of the occasion dressing to impress and creating various Hollywood theme scarecrows around the village.
The carnival procession left from The Plough Inn in Kenyon Lane and paraded through the village, culminating at the local playing fields where the carnival was officially opened and local schoolgirl Hannah Alberta, aged 12 (centre right) was officially crowned in the presence of the Mayor of Warrington, Coun Brian Axcell.
On the field there were variety of events including mountain bike stunts, fancy dress contest, circus skills workshop, Morris Men, bands and miniature steam railway rides. In the evening there were children’s races, adult novelty races and the annual egg throwing contest.
