Grill pan causes kitchen blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house at Penketh, Warrington last night after fire broke out in the kitchen.
By the time they reached the scene, in Clifford Road, the fire – which had been caused by an overheated grill pan – was out.
But the crew ventilated the property and used a thermal imaging cameras to check for any hotspots.
They were at the scene for about half an hour.
