RESIDENTS of a block of apartments for senior citizens have persuaded Warrington highways chiefs to ease proposed parking restrictions outside their homes.
A recommendation is go to the borough council’s traffic committee that and order restricting waiting to 20 minutes only in Bradshaw Lane, Grappenhall should apply only at school opening and closing times.
Originally, highway chiefs had proposed the 20 minutes only restriction all the time.
The order will affect the road near Bradshaw Lane Primary School and Barthlomew Court retirement apartments.
Elderly residents argued that 20 minutes waiting time would be insufficient for carers or visitors at the retirement apartments.
