Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends were 5, 6, 9 and 11 – but the jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a hospital visitor.

Nest boxes
RANGERS at Warrington’s Walton Park Zoo are making new nest boxes for red squirrels between 2pm and 3pm today (Saturday). Anyone who wants to help should call 01925 601617.

Remembrance
WALTON Lea Crematorium’s annual service of remembrance for people who have suffered a recent bereavement takes place at the crematorium tomorrow (Sunday) at 3pm. The nondenominational service will be led by the Rev Stephen Kingsnorth and refreshments will be available afterwards.

Kwik cricket
THE after-school club at Burtonwood Primary School is holding Kwik Cricket sessions on Tuesdays, between 4pm and 5pm until July 21.

Busy bees
PENKETH and Sankey Gardening Society is holding a talk about the benefits of having bees in the garden at the Manna House, on Warrington Road, Penketh on Thursday, July 2 at 7.30pm.
