Planners to visit industrial homes site

PLANNING chiefs are to visit the proposed site of two three-bedroomed houses at Warrington after hearing of objections from three councillors.
Coun Judith Wheeler, Coun Keith Gleave and Coun Kevin Reynolds are all worried about the proposals at the junction of Burtonwood Road and Boston Boulevard in the Chapelford Urban Village.
They are concerned about the adequacy of parking and turning space, highway safety, landscaping and loss of trees and open space.
A nearby resident is also opposing the plan on the grounds the development would be out of character with the area, creating an “industrial look.”
Planning officers recommended the plan be approved as the site is not designated as open space or for landscaping – but members of the borough council’s development control committee decided to visit the site before making a decision
