Loan period extended

WARRINGTON Wolves’ youngsters Kevin Penny and Steve Pickersgill have had their initial one month loan period extended at Paul Cullen’s Widnes – until further notice.
Wolves Head of Coaching Tony Smith, who has already said he has to make tough decisions since the arrival of winger Brian Carney, is holding the option to recall them at any time.
A statement from the club says : “Both are playing well under Paul Cullen at the Vikings, with Penny (pictured right) having scored two tries, one on his debut.
“Playing within the Co-operative Championship is a great opportunity for both players to develop their game and gain wider experience of the sport.
“The team recently defeated Halifax in a close fought match to make it to the Northern Rail Cup Final against Barrow in July.”
Check out the exclusive video interview with Tony Smith in the video section where he talks about the tough decisions he faces, in particular on the wings since the arrival of Brian Carney who is likely to be included in the squad this weekend.
