HIGH school students, their teachers and local residents who have been attending ballroom dancing classes are to put on a gala ball – to raise money for projects to strengthen links between the school and the local community.
The “Strictly Penketh Gala Ball” will be held in the sports hall at Penketh High School on Thursday, June 25 at 7pm.
Ballroom dancing classes have been running at the school for some time and the ball will give the dancers a chance to strut their stuff.
Harriet Campbell, the school’s public relations officer said: “All dancers will strut their stuff for the local community dressed head to toe in glitz and glam.
“We are hoping to raise as much as possible to help the school’s community projects aiming at building relationships between and within the local community.”
Tickets are £5, £3 for concessions and refreshments will be available.
Anyone who wishes to attend should contact the school on 01925 72298 and ask to speak to Eunice Peters or Harriett Campbell.
