THE 39-year-old man arrested by police in Cheshire in connection with a murder in Paris is to face extradition proceedings.
He is to appear at the City of Westminister Magistrates’ Court within the next 48 hours.
The man was arrested after being found by police in woodland at Chelford, near Knutsford, where he was apparently living rough in a tent.
Earlier his black Porsche car had been found outside a house in Warrington.
It is believed the man is businessman Ian Griffin, whose parents live at Houghton Green, Warrington and who is being sought by French police in connection with the murder of Kinga Legg, his 36-year-old girl friend.
She was found beaten to death in a Paris hotel last week.
Cheshire Police say the case is being dealt with by French police. But a number of people in Warrington who have had associations with Griffin have been questioned.
