Green tribute for local firm

A WARRINGTON-based company has ranked as one of the greenest businesses according to the Sunday Times Green List.
Watercooler company Greencare H2O ranked 39th in the list, which is a guide to businesses with the most radically improved environmental performances. And the company was 11th in an employee survey that contributes 30 per cent of the marks to the overall ranking.
The list of 60 Best Green Companies in Britain was published in the newspaper. Companies were chosen for their corporate social responsibility.
Greencare H2O was chosen as its mains-fed water coolers supplied to businesses and restaurants are a greener alternative to buying bottled water. Plumbed-in water coolers have recyclable bottles, lids and labels, and Greencare’s cups are fully biodegradable.
Last year the company invested £20,000 in eco initiatives.
