College goes all black and red!

A WARRINGTON college was decked out in a black and red theme for a special performance of the classic play Moulin Rouge.
Performing Arts students at Priestley College staged the play over three sold-out nights.
It tells the story of penniless writer Christian, who produces a show for a collection of “fallen” women at the Moulin Rouge, before falling for the leading lady.
Second year students were the cast and the production was part of their final assessment at Priestley.
One of the performance nights was a special event with more than 40 invited guests, who were treated to a pre-theatre meal, interval drinks and saw the college decked out in a red and black theme.
Tutor Nancy Maury, said: “There was a great deal of planning that went into the production and the results spoke for themselves. It has been a pleasure for all of the team to work with this particular group of students and although the performance was their last at Priestley, we wish them all the very best for what ever they choose to do in the future.”
