Boot sale
A CAR boot sale is to take place on Bank Holiday Monday at Crosfields’ RL Club, in Hood Lane North, Great Sankey, Warrington from 8am to 12pm. The event is in aid of the club’s junior section.

Sign approved
PLANS for a non-illuminated fascia sign on an open grass verge, sandwiched between Old and New Manchester Road at Woolston has been approved by Warrington ‘s development control committee despite an objection from local councillor Bill Brinksman.

Wildlife tour
A GUIDED tour of Rixton Clay Pits Nature Reserve, near Warrington, is to take place at 7pm on Wednesday, June 17 when visitors will be able to see rare wildflowers and grasses.

Charity knitting
CHILDREN at Sycamore Lane Primary School, Great Sankey, Warrington have set up a knitting club to make blankets for St Rocco’s Hospice.

Fly posters
ILLEGAL posters erected at Lymm will be taken down, the parish council has decided. Councillors will target unsightly posters attached to the railings at the Lower Dam.
