Petrol station
PLANNERS have given the go-ahead for the replacement of the Asda petrol station in Dewhurst Road, Birchwood, Warrington. The existing five pump filling station will be demolished and a new, six pump facility will be built in its place.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital are 1, 9, 14 and 15. There were no winners and the jackpot prize will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a hospital visitor.

Allotment visit
Parish Councillors from Stockton Heath will make their annual visit to the Red Lane Allotments at 7pm on Friday July 17. During the evening members will tour the site and enjoy refreshments.

Licence dodgers
TV licence dodgers should be warned – officers from TV Licensing are in Warrington today (Saturday). They
have already caught more than 300 dodgers in the first three months of this year – and anyone caught can be fined up to £1,000.

Site visit
PLANNING chiefs are to visit a property in Dam Lane, Rixton, Warrington before deciding whether plans for a single storey rear extensions and detached garage can go ahead. Rixton with Glazebrook Parish Council has lodged an objection.
