Care home wins approval for storage container

A CARE home has been given the go-ahead by Warrington planners to install a steel storage container in its grounds – to save the cost of renting storage place elsewhere.
Members of the borough council’s development management committee approved the application submitted by Padgate House Residential Care Home, off Vulcan Close, Padgate.
The committee was told a steel container had been established as the most cost-effective way of solving the home’s storage problems. It would be clad in timber panels to it would not be visually intrusive on the street scene or over a wider area.
Planning officers recommended the proposal be approved as it would not have a detrimental impact on the living conditions of occupiers of neighbouring properties.
