Horse show's unique treble

WARRINGTON Horse Show – the North West’s longest-running equestrian event – will welcome three generations of one family when it takes place on Whit Monday, May 25.
The Shore family has been taking part in the show for more than 50 years.
Grandad Joe competed in 1953. Son Keith – a leading international show jumper – won the big show jumping prize last year and is competing again with a string of his horses this year.
But he will also be watching closely as his son, James – Joe’s grandson – moves up the junior show jumping ranks.
The popular show features everything equestrian from miniature ponies to Shire horses, the Iberian Horse Fiesta and numerous other events.
But it’s not all horses…there will be something to entertain the whole family… and the dog.
You can enter Fido on the day for all sorts of doggy fun from prettiest bitch to waggiest tail. There will be a farmers market, fairground fun, all day bar and a full programme of entertainment including falconry, Warrington’s strongest man competition and cone driving races
The show has been part of Warrington life for more than a century and the village of Daresbury once again provides a beautiful setting.
