Free IT workshops for beginners

WARRINGTON Borough Council is to lead free IT workshops and drop-ins for beginners.
Two initiatives are being delivered by the council’s neighbourhood team to help members of the community become more technology savvy.
First up are new, weekly “digital drop-in sessions” at Whitecross Community Centre, which begin on Tuesday May 9.
Aimed at beginners, the sessions will give local people the chance to
pop in, get help and learn about using a range of digital devices, including, PCs, laptops, tablets, and phones. People are welcome to bring their own devices, or can simply use the onsite computers.
In addition, the neighbourhood team will be running basic IT workshops at Radley Common Community Centre later this month. The workshops take place from Wednesday to Friday, May 24-26 giving computer novices the chance to develop a range of IT skills.
The sessions are aimed at making life easier for anyone in the community who wants to get to grips with new technology but is finding it all a little overwhelming.
