Little bookworms strike gold

0

TWO little “bookworms” from Warrington were recently among the first avid young readers in the country to receive a special golden certificate for their reading skills.
The Bookstart Book Crawl is an incentive to encourage local library usage. Five visits gets the user a certificate and a gold certificate is given when one reader gains ten certificates in total.
Every time a child receives a certificate, they also receive a free book.
Olivia Blakeman aged 5 was the first to complete the challenge; she has been taking part in the Book Crawl since she was six months old.
The second recipient, Ben Clements is just two years old! Again he started his Book Crawl library when he was six months old; he particularly loves any books which have a transport theme – diggers, trains and cars.
Every library in Warrington takes part in the Book Crawl.
