Consultation on primary schools review

PUBLIC consultation events have been organised to enable people to have a say on three major proposals forming part of Warrington Borough Council’s review of primary schools.
These are the controversial proposal to close Longbarn Primary School, the plan to relocation of Sycamore Lane Primary School and the expansion of Ravenbank Primary School at Lymm.
Parents, carers, local residents and any other interested parties can attend the events and to meet individually or in small groups with council officers to discuss the proposals.
An additional formal public meeting, attended by the council’s executive member for children’s services, Coun Sheila Woodyatt and the director of children’s services, Norma Cadwallader, will be held at Longbarn Primary on Wednesday, April 27 between 6pm and 7.30pm.
Issues raised will be reported to a meeting of the council’s executive board in July.
The informal meetings will be held at Longbarn Primary on May 1 at 2.30pm and 5.30pm, at Ravenbank Primary on April 23 at 2.30pm and 5.30pm and at Sycamore Lane Primary on April 30 at 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
