Showman seeks a home

0

A MEMBER of a well-known family of travelling showmen is seeking planning consent for a permanent site of a mobile home near Warrington.
Michael Wallis has applied for permission to site the home – and provide hardstanding for it – on land off Liverpool Road, Great Sankey.
Great Sankey Parish Council has lodged objections and expressed concern that the rear part of the site will be used for commercial purposes.
But a neighbouring residents has written to planners supporting the application.
The site already has permission for the winter storage of three caravans.
Planners are recommending the application be granted as the proposal would meet an identified need – that of providing a home for a travelling showperson and family – and will not cause any overlooking nor loss of privacy for nearby residents.
