How to combat the recession

HELPFUL advice on how to cope with the current recession was given at a business networking meeting at Lymm.
Dave Cheetham, from Business Link, gave a presentation on ways of combating the downturn and “ride the crest of the wave.”
The evening, organised by Kirsty James of KJ Business Solutions and Tracey Ellis, of the Domestic Bliss Agency, attracted a wide range of local business from electricians to graphic designers.
Kirsty James said: “The number of attendees was really encouraging for a first event and we have received nothing but positive feedback.
“Attendees have said that they came hoping to meet new contacts and promote their own businesses but left having also sourced services both for themselves and their clients.”
Kirsty and Tracey are planning to hold these events on a quarterly basis following the same format – an informal gathering and a short presentation on a business related topic.
Sharon Charteress of Mood Design Solutions said: “The evening provided a great opportunity to expand our networks, meet new faces and hear about business services available in and around the Lymm area. The informal yet informative evening made a refreshing change from the usual format of networking events and I’m certainly looking forward to attending the next one.”
The next evening is scheduled for 6-7pm on Thursday June 4. More details are available from Kirsty James, email [email protected]
