Ultimate original punk bank

STIFF Little Fingers – described as the “ultimate original punk band” is to appear at Warrington’s Parr Hall on Sunday, May 17.
The band, with fast, passionate lyrics burst on to the music scene in the late 70’s with their debut album “Inflammable Material”.
The band has a reworked lineup – Jake Burns, Ali McMordie, Ian McCallum and Steve Grantley – which sees the return of bass player Ali after an absence of 15 years.
They are currently working on a new album. “Guitar and Drum” sees the band remaining true to their original sound, although the punk edge is slightly softened. Their distinctive guitar sound fuels every song and the album even includes a moving tribute to Joe Strummer, titled “Strummerville”.
