Help for arthritis victims

A SPECIAL information evening for people suffering from arthritis is to be held by the medical research charity Arthritis Research Campaign.
The event will be at Culcheth Sports Club – formerly the Daten Club – in Charnock Road, Culcheth, Warrington, on Thursday, April 23 at 6.45pm.
Arthritis is one of the single biggest causes of long-term disability, affecting more than seven million adults and children, yet it lacks the high public profile of other more life-threatening diseases.
Now ARC is aiming to raise the profile of the condition itself and how the charity is helping patients in the area.
The purpose of the evening is to let local people know what ARC is doing, its future plans and to provide an array of free information to sufferers.
Guest speaker will be Professor Robert Moots, Professor of Rheumatology who heads up ARC’s research in Liverpool and is an internationally acclaimed speaker on arthritis.
Further details of the evening are available from Ruth Owen on 01492 518760/07736 157800 or email [email protected]
