PEOPLE in South Warrington, who want to raise issues or complaints with local police, are invited to a special surgery in their area.
Police Community Support Officers Victoria Fox and Alex Stacey are hosting the community surgery at Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council Offices on Tuesday April 14 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
They will be on hand to talk to residents about any issues or concerns – and to offer valuable crime reduction advice.
PCSO Fox said: “We are looking at different ways of engaging with the local community and the surgeries are a great way for people to meet us face-to-face and talk to us about any issues affecting their quality of life in the area.”
She said meetings were informal and gave people the chance to talk one-to-one with officers.
“We are aware that some people can find it quite daunting speaking at local community meetings – so surgeries like these are of real benefit as they allow us to speak to people we otherwise might not hear from and ensure that we are dealing with those problems that cause the most concern,” she said.
Issues raised at previous meetings by Grappenhall and Thelwall residents include anti-social behaviour, underage drinking and speeding motorists.
Anyone who cannot attend the surgery but would like to speak to the officers should contact the Warrington South Community Action Team on 0845 458 6372.
