VISITORS to an exciting new exhibition in Warrington can discover the wonders of the animal kingdom.
An exotic mix of creatures will be on show at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery in Animal Tales from tomorrow (Saturday) until September 5.
The exhibition of myths, legends and nursery rhymes is inspired by animals from all over the world, and includes some weird facts. Visitors can find out about the wise old owl, the wolf that chases the sun, who the three blind mice were and other legends.
There is also a wild roadshow, with the chance to hold a giant millipede, touch a bearded dragon and spot a hidden tarantula, on Wednesday April 15 from 10am. Numbers are limited and places can be booked by calling 01925 442399.
Exhibition entry is free, and there are also a series of workshops including Easter Nests (April 7), Bunny Ears (April 9), Townscapes (April 14) and Dragon Puppets (April 16). All workshops are from 10am to 3pm and are suitable for three to 12-year-olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
