TRAVELLERS have vacated two sites in Warrington only to appear on a new site at Westbrook.

An encampment comprising of six caravans and associated vehicles has arrived on private land at Delta Crescent, Westbrook.

Warrington council have been liaising with the landowner and are visiting the site to speak to the group and have been informed that bailiffs have been instructed.

A single traveller has also arrived on a car park at the International Business centre’s car park at Westbrook and has refused to move.

It is alleged that when asked to vacate the site he said he would only leave if he was paid £1,000!

Meanwhile an encampment comprising 4 caravans and associated vehicles have vacated land at Chetham Court, Winwick Quay, while two caravans and associated vehicles have now vacated Carina Business Park at Westbrook.
