Company chief will get muddy for a good cause

A COMPANY chief from Warrington is gearing up for the challenge of a lifetime this weekend – to raise money for charity.
David Brackley technical director for Miller Homes in the North West, will be one of 14 people from the company taking part in the Tough Mudder Challenge at Cholmondeley Castle tomorrow and on Sunday.
The aim is to raise £3,000 for  Habitat for Humanity’s Hope Builders campaign.
Mr Brackley is preparing himself for a 10-12 mile run that will feature 500’000 litres of grade-A mud and 40 tonnes of ice.
He will also be taking on more 20 world-class obstacles that the course designers have created based on inspiration from around the world.
The team will have their strength, stamina and mental grit put to the test by the course.
Mr Brackley said: “We are feeling excited and nervous all at the same time. Some of us are feeling more prepared than others but we are going to exhibit true teamwork and take on every obstacle to the best of our ability.
“We are looking forward to raising money for a charity as important as Habitat for Humanity. Miller Homes are passionate about supporting communities and charities, so every year we make it our priority to fundraise and help those in need.”
Habitat for Humanity works in more than 70 countries across the world to offer simple, sustainable solutions by working with the poorest and most vulnerable people. They help provide improved access to water, sanitation facilities and land rights for women. The charityalso work to help communities to become more resilient when affected by natural disasters.
