WARRINGTON planning chiefs have given the go-ahead for a new, hot food takeaway shop near the town centre.
Members of the council’s development management committee approved proposals for the change of use of a disused bed showroom in Winwick Road.
The scheme will involve dividing the store into two units – one of which will be taken over by Domino’s Pizza.
A new shop front will be installed.
The committee was told the new business would employ 10 full-time staff and a similar number of part-timers. It would open from 11m to 11pm seven days a week.
Planning officers had recommended the scheme be approved as it would help secure the continued vitality and viability of the Winwick Road area.
There were no objections to the scheme.
