Wolves' chief takes heart

WARRINGTON Wolves’ Chief Executive Andy Gatcliffe has been heartened by the positive responses he has received from fans following Matt King’s public apology after making a rude gesture towards supporters during Saturday’s game at Harlequins.
“After the weekend’s disappointment I was expecting a rather gloomy Monday at the club. However, once again, the Wolves fans have proved what fantastic supporters they are. Following Matt’s apology I have been really heartened by the overwhelming response of a vast number of Wolves supporters who have taken the time to call me and write to me in support of Matt’s apology.”
“My sincere thanks to each and every person for taking the time to place on record their positive message of support – this really is appreciated.”
“Whilst the club does not condone Matt’s action on Saturday, I do commend the way he actually held his hand up and apologised, this is the true measure of the man.
“It appears the support for Matt and the team is as strong as ever and I am confident we will have smiles back on the faces of everyone connected with the club within the not too distant future.”
