£12,000 boost for hospital

A CHEQUE for £12,000 has been present to the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital by Unilever – and has resulted in the purchase of a number of heart monitors and other equipment.
The money was raised through the company’s Safeclean Initiative, where points are awarded during quarterly inspections which are then converted into cash for Unilever’s chosen charity.
A number of Spacelabs Heart monitors were purchased by the Friends for Emergency Medical Unit assessment.
Our photograph shows, left to right, Sister Julie Wills, housekeeper Nerys Lamerick, Karen Rawcliffe from Unilever, Staff Nurse Jill Nuckles, League of Friends chairman David Eden, deputy chairman and Jane Watson, from Unilever.
