Students' study trip to Paris

STUDENTS studying Early Years and Health and Social Care at Warrington made Paris their destination for an overseas study trip aimed at enriching their learning experience.
In total 44 students from Priestley College spent four days in the French capital with the main part of their stay based at the Euro Disney Resort – and for many it was a first ever taste of European life and culture.
The group were at the resort to listen to a range of lectures and presentations from Euro Disney representatives about the way they aim to care for their far ranging customer base which included subjects such as health and safety, care values, access for the disabled and facilitating the needs of different faiths and cultures.
As well as the lectures, the students also got chance to sample park life as customers themselves and took in the sights and sounds of Paris.
First year student, Lucy Deakin, who is studying a Double AS Award in Health and Social Care, said: “The trip was very informative and it was good to see our studies come to life in a setting such as Euro Disney.”
Fellow student Geri Tipping, who is studying the same qualification, added: “It was surprising just how much we learned and it has been a great benefit to my studies. It was very enjoyable, helped build relationships within our group and it’s something I’ll remember for a long time.”
