THREE fire engines were called to reports of a house fire at Fearnhead, Warrington.
When they arrived they found the blaze involved conifers and hedging which had affected the outside of the property.
Three hose reel jets were used to tackle the fire and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots in the loft space. The operation lasted for nearly an hour last night.
A fire crew was also sen t to Padgate railway station last night after a car left the road in Padgate Lane and plunged down an embankment. No-one was trapped but train services were halted for a time.
In another incident, a large commercial bin was found ablaze at Harrison Square, near to ther pharmacy. Firefighters tackled the blaze which did not reach the pharmacy
