Witnesses sought after road death

POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses following a road crash in Warrington in which a man died.
The collision involved a black Suzuki motor cycle and a grey Citroen van on the A57 Sankey Way, near its junction with the A562 Penketh Road yesterday (Tuesday) shortly after 4pm.
Both vehicles were travelling towards Widnes when the collision occurred.
The motor cyclist, 22-year-old Mark Hodgson, from Widnes, was taken to Warrington Hospital where he subsequently died.
Police say they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle prior to the crash.
