Oil company’s car park plan

PLANS for a 45-space car park on land off Priestley Street, Warrington are to be considered by the borough council’s development management committee.
The proposals have been put forward by local firm Rock Oil Ltd., whose headquarters are immediately adjacent, and are part of ongoing site improvements, providing a purpose built car park close to the office building.
The new parking space will remove the need for 33 spaces currently distributed throughout the site and will provide efficiency and safety improvements, creating more space for the main site activities and reducing the potential for conflicts between these activities and cars.
A scheme to eradicated Japanese knotweed from the site will be implemented before the car park is constructed.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved.
