Woman critical after multiple stabbing at Woolston

A WOMAN is in a critical condition in Warrington Hospital following a multiple stabbing incident at Woolston during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The woman in her 50s, and a 28-year-old woman, suffered multiple puncture wounds following the domestic incident at a property on Alder Road, Woolston, at around 2am.

A 31-year-old man has also been taken to hospital to be treated for several injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “Police responded to reports of a serious domestic incident on Alder Road. A 28-year-old woman and a woman in her 50s had been seriously injured and taken to hospital to be treated for multiple punture wounds.

“The woman in her 50s is said to be in a critical condition.

“A 31-year-old man has also been taken to hospital to be treated for several injuries.

“A scene is currently in place on Alder Road and police are investigating the circumstances.”

Police are not currently seeking anyone else connected with the incident although anyone with information which may help police is urged to call 101 quoting incident 98 of 7th May 2017.
