A HOUSEBUILDER in Warrington is extending a scheme to make new affordable homes available to local people.
Miller Homes, which helped hundreds of buyers throughout the country with its MiWay scheme, is offering it across 17 of its 21 developments in the region.
The initiative enables purchasers to buy a new home without having to pay the full price up front – but they still have 100 per cent ownership of the property.
Buyers to pay 75 per cent initially and 25 per cent later with help in the form of a long term equity loan from Miller Homes, with no interest or rent to pay.
Warrington buyers who benefited from the scheme include David Bailey and Rachel Weightman. They bought a new three bedroom home at Saxon Park in Sankey Bridges.
David said: “MiWay helped us buy our first home together. I had previously owned my own home but this is the first time for Rachel.
“For us it was a really simple, easy process. We originally reserved a plot at the end of August and moved in once the property was completed in December.”
