A LEADING Warrington hotel has been sold for a figure believed to be close to £1.8 million.
The Rhinewood Country House Hotel, at Glazebrook has been acquired by Shaheen Igbal, who already owns the Hermitage Park Hotel at Coleville, near Leicester.
He intends to run the hotel under management.
The Rhinewood stands in about 2.6 acres and has 32 en suite bedrooms, extensive function facilities and a refurbished restaurant and bar area.
David Blythe from Christie and Co, Manchester, who handled the sale, said: “Considerable interest was shown in the hotel over the period of time that it was on the market and at the close there were two other interested parties, both bidding on the hotel, with Shaheen Iqbal being the successful bidder.
“We wish him every success with the Rhinewood Country House Hotel”.
