The Comedy Store continues its residency at Pyramid presenting the best in stand-up from around the globe and showcasing the brightest names of comedy talent. The shows run on the first Saturday of each month, don’t miss out!

Crafts – Friday 7 April (12.00pm) – Blooming Art presents Art for Your Heart Day

Blooming Art is hosting a wonderful day of creativity to illustrate the power art has in aiding wellbeing. This event is free and family friendly, as always. Blooming Art delivers quality workshops and classes for adults and children, and is proud to have earned a large following.

Variety – Thursday 13 April (7.30pm) – Mark Radcliffe – Should You Be Interested

Radio and TV presenter, musician, writer, friend of the stars and all-round cheese fetishist, Mark Radcliffe has been making a little go a long way for several decades now. Expect stories and songs of middle-aged angst and ennui along with tales of ineptitude and encounters with some of music’s most famous names.

Variety – Thursday 13 April (7.30pm) Psychic Sally – Call Me Psychic

The nation’s favourite psychic Sally Morgan is back and better than ever with her brand new and most jaw-dropping show yet. Call Me Psychic is a funny, entertaining, sometimes heart-breaking, often controversial show which celebrates Sally’s ninth year on the road.

Music – Friday 14 April (7.30pm) – Chris Potter and the Inner City Ensemble

A world-class soloist, accomplished composer and formidable bandleader, saxophonist Chris Potter has emerged as a leading light of his generation. For this second edition in the Jazz Directors Series, Potter is performing with the Inner City Ensemble, an evolving group of the UK’s most promising emerging professional musicians.

Music – Saturday 15 April (4.00pm) – Giraffe & Origins present Todd Terry (NYC)

Grammy Award-nominated DJ and producer Todd Terry has announced a special visit to Warrington’s Parr Hall in April. Todd is one of the world’s most celebrated figures in dance music and with almost two decades of dance floor domination under his belt the quality of his productions goes from strength to strength.

Music – Saturday 22 April (7.00pm) – That Manchester Night

The best tribute acts to some of the biggest bands of all time are coming together for That Manchester Night at Parr Hall. This top quality show will be headlined by the number one Stone Roses tribute The Clone Roses and will also feature Oasish and The Smiths Ltd with Clint Boon, aka Mr Manchester, as DJ and host.

Music – Friday 28 April (7.30pm) – From The Jam featuring Bruce Foxton

From The Jam have gained a reputation for the kind of incendiary live performances which sealed the reputation of The Jam all those years ago. Audiences can expect classic The Jam hits like Down in the Tube Station at Midnight, Going Underground and Town Called Malice as well as live favourites and songs from Bruce’s solo career.

NEW AND ONGOING EXHIBITIONS

Crafts – Saturdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 April (1pm-3pm) – Crafternoons at the Museum

Warrington Museum & Art Gallery runs free craft activities for kids every Saturday from 1pm. There’s something different to try at the museum every week with this month’s themes including April Fools, The Smurfs, St George’s and Shakespeare’s days, and The Scarecrows’ Wedding. Last admission is at 2.45pm – all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Art – Until Saturday 22 April (All Day) Boundlessness

Lars Fredriksson is an abstract painter from Malmö, Sweden, whose work has been exhibited in South Sweden and Berlin. Fredriksson has spent the last six months living in Warrington and this exhibition is a fascinating visual document of his time here.

Art – Saturday 8 April – Saturday 17 June (All Day) – Interpret

This exhibition is a showcase of young contemporary artists that are completing a range of art and design courses at Warrington Collegiate. Responding to the theme of Warrington, the students’ work reflects their perspective on the town’s changing identity.

Art – Tuesday 11, Thursday 13, Tuesday 18 and Thursday 20 April (10.00am-2.45pm) – Easter Crafts

Keep the kids entertained this Easter with our holiday craft sessions. Our Easter season’s craft activities include making Easter cards, 3D spring paintings, rabbit masks and “bonkers baskets” – there’s something to suit every child. All children must be accompanied by an adult, no booking is required. Saturday crafts will continue as usual.
